I think perhaps if you had 20 guns to clean... it might save time.

Maybe I'm a minimal cleaner but I can do a basic cleaning job on a 1911 in about 5 minutes... boresnake about 5 times, wipe everything inside and out with an FP10 soaked cloth, go over the worst spots again, wipe it off with a dry cloth and put it back together.

How much time could be saved with a tank?

If you're hardcore into cleaning, an Omega can save a lot of time, but filling it with solution or heating it up again takes time, too.
And buying murphy's oil soap by the case isn't cheap, either.
But a ultrasonic cleaner has many other uses, too.
Don't leave the parts in too long, will strip off paint, eventually.

For me it is a more of an issue cleaning revolvers. When I go to the range I'll spend a couple of hours and shoot 4 or 5 different handguns. It would be nice to put them in the cleaner and come back 15 or 20 minutes later, take them out let them drain and be done.

Problem is, you aren't done.
I have seen reports of the ultrasonic bath stripping the oil out of all the nooks and crannies of an assembled gun so well that it would not function. You gotta relube properly and everywhere.

I used to use an industrial type cleaner in the Navy and wasn't impressed. Its operation can vary with the type of solvent used. If you're using a water based solvent your going to have to flush every crevice out and lube to prevent corrosion, so i wouldn't use it for routine cleaning of my revolvers unless you want to take the sideplates off every time.

It does a good job of blasting loose stuff off of nooks and crannies that can't be reached by conventional means. however, it won't do anything for lead or copper. And unless you have some sort of fetish for not having a SPECK ANYWHERE you can do a conventional firearms with soap and water, hoppes or whatever just as good.
