What Front Sight scandal?

I found this in Strategy and Tactics:
I went to Front Sight. The training was very professional. But I don't know if they're going to be around much longer due to the scandal with the home site sales (that's another topic on another thread somewhere on THR).

Anyone know the story behind this?:confused:

I was thinking of going in April '07. Just my luck, I finally get to go and they close up shop.:cuss:

Basically they were going to sell home space, and somehow renigged on it. I believe they settled with everyone involved.

I went and loved every second of it. I wouldnt let it stop you.

I knew they were planning a "gun owner's dream community", but I wasn't sure if I missed something in the 3-4 mailings that they send me each week.:D

Being involed in land development myself, I found Dr. Iggy P's idea quite interesting.

I've heard the training & the facility for it is great, but i also remember reading about something like a ponzi-scheme going on where all they did was sell more and more memberships to the future community, while the community itself never got built, or something to that effect. Haven't heard anything on this in a while now.

Basically, people thought they were buying home sites, when actually they were buying memberships in front sight, with the promise of a future home site that has still yet to be developed. Along with some other financial shinanigines by Dr. P.
