That and I am looking into getting a rifle, and I want to see what is out there, I am interested in the more 'traditional' styled rifles.

I have a 50 cal Traditions type ML but this one below is my favorite. It is way too long since shooting it - I guess I am getting lazy for cleaning jobs!
Parker Hale repro of the 2 band musketoon, in .577 cal. It takes from 2.5 to 3.5 drams of BP for loads but with heavy Minnies, 2.5 is plenty enough and gives IIRC around 1200 fps. One of these would I am sure stop a cape buffalo ;)
The only problem I have (apart from tired old eyes) is when shooting with the open sights, it's hard not to get the old cheek slammed!! The recoil pad does help the shoulder!
I show below also my Minnie variant. From the std Lyman mould I made a new insert so as to increase hollow base and make skirt slightly thinner - and so better obturation. Of course that makes the bases rather easily dented but that is manageable as I keep new lubed bullets in a special box that keeps them separate.
