I need some expert advise on a couple of qustions before I mod my CZ40P.
Can a stainless steel guide rod be used in a 40p with a alloy frame? (I have heard both ways and need to know for sure if it will or will not)
Can I polish and make it shiney my barrel. (again I have heard some say yes and some say no)
Thanks in advace

Yes, you can use a stainless guide rod without any problems - I had one in mine before I sold it and it worked just fine. As for the barrel - polishing will not cause any problems, unless you go crazy on the ramp!:)

Ok anyone know of a long plastic guide rod for this gun? I hate the short rod.

Just curious as to why. Is it just a personal preference? All the guide rod does is prevent the spring from binding and keep the spring force against the slide.

The pistol will work perfectly with the original guide rod. If you want a stainless one, there are some manufacturers out there who can help, but the plastic one should be fine.
