I picked up an 11-87 20g with the english style stock at the gun show today. I went straight to the range and the thing shoots like a dream. Only thing is, its awquard as hang to load the magazine. I have shot pumps all my life and you just shove 'em in...whats the trick?
Any tweaks with the 11-87 to wring the most out of it?

First off, congratulations! I love my 11-87, it is a sweet shooting shotgun. Keep an eye on the little rubber seal (O-ring) around the magazine tube. My factory one broke pretty quick.
There is a device called an EZ loader or Easy Loader for Remmy 1100 series shotguns. I dont know if it will fit the 20 gauge though, so check around.
I dont have one installed on mine, but the method I use to load is: Turn the shotty upside down, so you can see the loading gate. Use the plastic nose/rim of the shell you are inserting to press the little square button and then once that is pressed it should be easy to push it right into the tube. I would describe the technique as "nosediving" the shell to get it in.

What waywatcher does is what I've done to load my father-in-law's 1100

thanks Waywatcher, that works pretty good. Its completely backwards from loading a regular tube magazine...wonder why the change?
