Was going through cases of .308 ammo and I found 1000 rounds of linked 30-06 that I forgot I had. Only headstamp is 1K and 30-06, this was bought from Wholesale Guns and Ammo in late 90's. Does anyone have any info on this ammo?
I knew I had some Hirtenberger .308 but was very happy to find I had stuck away 2K. I like being a pack rat. Thanks.

It is Yugoslav commercial ammo, from Igman.

Yes, It is IK not 1K and I just found that it is YUGO. Commercial ammo that is linked? Need to find out if this is corrosive. Thanks.

Well, commercial just means it wasn't Yugo military surplus. It could have been a contract for the Syrian army or even the PLO. Often Yugo commercial contract ammo is non-corrosive, but not always.

Well, I quess this could have been a military contract for the Freedom Fighters of Easter Island that may or may not be corrosive. Anybody who has first hand knowledge of this ammo would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
