I just bought my first bicycle in 15 years and plan to get the heart and lungs into shape. Anywho... would Fox Labs make (for) a good dog repellent? Or should I buy the overpriced stuff sold at bike shops?

Yep, it should work. As a matter of fact, it should be more efective vs dogs than against human pests. Dogs have more sensitive noses and hence a good blast of OC straight to Fido's muzzle should dissuade him from harassing you.

I'd skip the bike shop stuff. They don't have any magic powers! Fox seems to be some of the best OC available. I'd get it in a spray dispersal, not stream or foam.

Phoenix, Fox Labs, in LEO type formula is some of the best...
But, my experience is that the larger (84 gram) size stream type works best. YMMV

Fox, hands down is the hottest spray available to civilians.
