Mossberg 590 Speedfeed/PG?

My Nova is on "extended/indefinite loan" to a valued family member. I've decided to replace it (OK, just trying to justify the purchase) with a 590, the one with 20" barrel and ghost ring sites and 9-shot capacity. I may, in the interests of domestic tranquility, be purchasing a Speedfeed/pistol grip (as in combined shoulder stock and PG, not PG only, not a folder; solid, shortened) and Brownells lists a TAC-IVs model for the Mossberg 500.
Q: will it fit the 590 as-is? Would it need a 'smith and modification? Is it not compatible? Are most or all 500/590 accessories interchangeable if I get the dreaded "tactical" urges in the future?

if you're going to get a PG stock, i'd advse just getting an 870, instead. the safety position of the mossberg counterindicates a PG stock.

Wife unit is currently suffering from the rare "youcangetacoolgunwithmyblessings" virus and I want to take advantage of that fact before she comes to her senses :D
If the 590 can't take the shoulder/PG stock then I'll just have to live without it (the PG part). I can always pick up a used 870 down the line (it's USED honey, I saved money!).

oh, it can take the shoulder stock, but it's less than ideal, since theere's now several inches of plastic between your firing hand and the safety by the most direct route.
