Welcome to the club!

I have a CZ-40P as well. Got it bout 6-8 weeks ago. Just finished adding a nitride steel guide rod, polished ramp, honed ejector and wolff springs - 18lb recoil, firing pin, extractor and +5% mags. Call it the 40P reliability package. Let me give you guys a tip; the hammer / main spring is a bear to put back in! Don't do me! This is the single most finicky eater I've ever seen. You may get lucky and get one that feeds everything well out of the box. My understanding is a lot of them don't...mine didn't and would FTF 1 in 20 and FTE 1 in 50. I think it's because the tolerances are very close and needs a lot of shooting to get well broken in. Despite my problems with it, I love the looks, the overall feel and the excellent value. I am determined to make it work. Congrats!..and happy shooting.

Mine feeds everything never a malfunction in 300 rounds

My stainless 75B and my PCR.

November 14, 2006, 09:53 PM
I have several top shelve 9's, Glock, Sig, Ruger, Benelli, and others.

My CZ-75 is the tightest, most solid, most ergonomic, most accurate 9 I have ever owned. If restricted to one 9, I would have to pick the CZ.

Here is mine

November 14, 2006, 10:05 PM
Just use the edge of a table to push/hold the plug and spring in while putting in the pin. Not hard at all.

My 40P had some feeding issues at first. Those have disappeared the more I've shot it. I also polished the magazine lips and that helped.

Here's my one pistol. I love it. It's all I need.

As for the knives and flashlights, they change with my mood.

November 14, 2006, 11:36 PM
Here's a nice pic of a PCR with wood grip. I have one but with the std rubber grip.

They are my favorite, I have two, a 75 B and a glossy blue Compact, but lame pics. My question is... how do you pronounce it? Anybody have a phonetic way of typing it?

(And ya better not type "See Zee," ya yahoos... I mean the real name! :neener: )

CZ Beauty:

I don't know about everyone else, but knowing how accurate, soft shooting, reliable, and reasonably priced CZ's are, in my humble opinion, the graceful lines and elegance CZ possess make these the BEST LOOKING pistols I have ever seen.

My Pre-B 75 is as slick as glass and is one hole accurate at 21'. A combat pistol price that is target pistol quality.

November 15, 2006, 10:39 PM
My CZ pistol family....

November 15, 2006, 10:56 PM
I agree, done alot of trading CZs around the nation. Have yet to ever let go a preB. Sexiest pistol ever!!!

November 15, 2006, 10:59 PM
Rotoflyr, that is an original HBE Specialty Leatherworks COMIII for the wife's RAMI.

It also fits her PCR quite well!

When it comes to "graceful lines and elegance", I would rate the CZ number 2, one step behind the BHP.

Craig: nice haul! Can I play at your house sometime?

November 19, 2006, 11:50 AM

I bow before you (two) ole' mighty owners of such excellent firearms !!

Truly outstanding :what:

Thank you sir. BTW - I love your nickeled 97B. The grips really set the nickeled pistols off. Very, very nice.

You're welcome at my house anytime sir. I actually made the rosewood grips. It took me forever!

Thank you too sir. I certainly agree with you about CZ pistols. They are the best!

Best regards.

This MAY show up. P-01

November 30, 2006, 03:35 PM
Ceska (Chek-eh) Zbrojovka (Zbroe-yahv-keh)

Actually, it would be Ches-KA (sounds like Fresca with a bit of a longer 'a' sound at the end) Zbro-Yov-KA. I was a Czech/Slovak linguist in the Army for eight years. ;) (Lituju ale to je to)

November 30, 2006, 06:35 PM
I picked up this Silver Team at a gun show. Real nice shooter. Looks better than pic. lube looks like rust in pic.

November 30, 2006, 08:30 PM
but I don't think that's a CZ. Still one of my favorite pistols though.

Ahhh heck, we'll consider it an honorary CZ. Visiting cousin from Italy.

November 30, 2006, 09:05 PM
j williams - SWEET! love the urban camo! I wouldn't mind having a desert camo job like that done, but I'll bet it wasn't cheap!
Kevin, what did you do to that PO1's frame? Looks acid etched.

November 30, 2006, 09:13 PM
I love picture threads:) :) :)

November 30, 2006, 10:19 PM
but I don't think that's a CZ.
Yea , guess your right. Always getting CZ and these mixed up. Still shoots good. Same basic family.

November 30, 2006, 10:27 PM
I'm sure about this one. MY PO-1.

M2 Carbine
November 30, 2006, 10:29 PM
I only have two CZ. The 52 and a 83 in 9x18.

You CZ fans might be interested in this.
I don't shoot the 83 a lot, maybe 8 times since new, but I tried it out at 100 yards yesterday morning. It did better than the other small pistols I've shot so far at 100 yards.
It actually shoots too high at 25 yards which makes it just right at 100 yards.

Here is my PreB - non-import - Refinished in Gun Kote.

December 1, 2006, 11:24 PM
My CZ-75B is strange.

She keeps hanging out with small revolvers. I think she is confused.
She does however know that she is the queen of this pack.

December 3, 2006, 09:45 AM

I killed the thread

December 3, 2006, 10:12 AM
Not at all. Wheelies aren't badm, but I do love my CZs.

December 3, 2006, 10:27 AM
I am convinced that a CZ-75 and a revolver are supposed to be carried together. Well, at least my CZ think so.

December 3, 2006, 10:37 AM
Another stock 75B, with my reworked hogues:)

December 3, 2006, 07:20 PM

December 3, 2006, 07:29 PM

Tell me more about that custom .40 SP-01! Did you just have to add a .40 slide? What else went into it? Looks hot.

December 4, 2006, 12:40 AM

the bottom is from my USPSA production gun..worked over by Matt Mink of Team CZ-USA.. the top is a .40 topend that I was able to track down..and I am going to put it on my SA frame for a USPSA L10 gun..but the other night..I decided to see if my SP01 frame and the .40 top would fit...

and they did..very well too..slide to frame is tight and there is contact all along the is nice that the .40 slide has rails from front to does the SP01 frame...I am seriously thinking of getting another SP01 and leave the combination together as it is pretty neat.....

December 4, 2006, 12:44 AM
That is neat. Have you shot it yet? Do the .40 mags fit the SP-01?

I'm not even a big .40 fan, but if it works then it sounds like a very cool combo!

December 4, 2006, 12:55 AM
haven't shot it yet...snowed this weekend..and really decided to stay warm.

the .40 mags I have fit my SP01 fine...

December 4, 2006, 01:07 AM
Awesome. Give us a report when you get to take it to the range.

Bazooka Joe71
December 4, 2006, 11:36 AM

Yes, please do fill us in with range report when you get a chance.

How much did all of the work cost Mr. Mink did?

December 4, 2006, 12:23 PM
CZ 100. It's a shooter.

December 4, 2006, 12:28 PM

December 4, 2006, 08:09 PM
I have a pcr. Best gun in my collection. Sig, Ruger, Colt. I will take my pcr any time.

December 4, 2006, 09:30 PM
Will post pics of me week-old SP-01 tomorrow. Was planning on buying a P226 in .40S&W in a couple of months, but now I'm just hoping for a factory .40 SP-01.

December 5, 2006, 01:05 AM
Here is actually where my .40 topend belongs..
