Anyone have any recommendations on where to take a course, be it hunter safety or otherwise?

Boulder Rifle Club. I took the Basic Personal Protection class a month ago. Great class and instructors.

Morgan, Zak (boy, it's a small world in Colorado, huh?), I will definitely check out Tom.

Scottgun, that Personal Protection class looks very interesting, but does it qualify as a CCW course (like hunter safety, etc.)?

Yes the Basic Personal Protection class does quality for the CCW training requirements. Not to be confused with the Basic Pistol class, which doesn't. The training requirements for CCW was the main reason everyone, including myself, took the class.
