how do you add foliage to ghillie suits?

i'm makin one, it's takin a while, and i've seen lotsa pictures with grass and straw, etc. "intertwined" in them and was wondering how you do it? does it stick to the burlap or do you stick it in the holes, or what?

and no i do not plan to assassinate anyone with my evil black rifle, it's for paintball :neener:

Most folks attach netting or patches of perforated cloth to weave additional materials into.

Your friendly neighbrohood surplus store should have 1/4" mesh netting that can be tack stitched on the suit and makes it easy to add foilage. Goes on before the burlap strips.
