I highly recommend brushes that don't use aluminum or steel as they can scratch your barrel. For bronze brushes, I use these:

I use Wipe-Out - a foaming bore cleaner - and rarely use any brushes anymore. It doesn't work on lead, but is wonderful on copper and powder fouling. Spray it in the bore, leave it overnight - has no ammonia - and patch it out the next day. Very clean barrel with no work.

I use the Tipton bronze core brushes. They should only be $10 per 10 pack on Midway. Sinclair's also sells their own line of bronze core brushes.
