Winchester 50 down, send in the 311

Well today at trap i had my model 50 Win, a lovely older gun i picked up in kittery. 3rd shot at the first station, KAPUT, bolts jammed back! no worries though, I had my trusty old JC higgins 101.7 to finish the round.

The head on the hammer failed, snapped clean off and jammed the action. Anyone else ever had a fun failure like that?

Yes- had a hammer break in my 311 once. Right barrel, turned it into a single shot till I got it fixed...
