This is likely the wrong forum for this, but many wise people hang out here and I need a quick answer if possible. Please transfer if necessary.
I will be looking at a friend's 1911 SN C86,XXX this afternoon. I figure the frame to date to 1917. Can anyone provide the correct barrel and slide markings for a 1917 Commercial. Any other distinguishing marks? Would it have the pony on the rear of the slide? Thank you, Bill
