Just to make you drool :)

Picked up this gem recently for less than a new S&W would cost, it's a 1950 Target Model in .44 Spl:

It must be true, they ARE still out there!

Picked up this gem recently for less than a new S&W would cost,

Which is the reason I seldom buy a new one - of most anything.

Nice catch. :D

November 20, 2006, 10:55 AM
People like you make me sick...:barf: :D My buddy got a M29 with ported barrel and the slickest trigger I've ever felt on a Smith and perhaps any gun for $250 at an estate auction. :cuss: :cuss: :cuss: :cuss: :cuss:

Yep, defective......

Send it to me and I'll try to figure out what its problem is. Most likely take me about 50years though.

Drooling accomplished! Is that going to be a sporting or defensive piece?

It'd be a shame to add that defective counterfeit to your collection. Ship it to me along with $20.00 and I promise I'll never tell anyone who got taken.

Schwinggg!!! Vetty vetty nice...

November 20, 2006, 11:46 PM
This is really unfair. I have just registered here and start looking around, and this is the first thing I see. Okay, just to show I am a nice guy, I'll give you your money back, plus $50.00 for your trouble...

Gator, that sure is a beautiful sixgun, congrats. New S&W's are as good as the old ones? Yea, ok...sure they are.

February 11, 2007, 11:00 PM
....and friends wondering why I don't like S&W's new production wheelguns  Exactly what S&W is capable of! Very nice find there!

February 11, 2007, 11:09 PM
B-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l! I have to agree bought an old 10-4 myself a few weeks ago, for $180. Took it back after polishing it and turned down a $400 offer. What has S&W been thinkin' latey.:what:

Roy Jinks is still alive??

Anyway, beautiful gun. It ought to be in a museum. Man, when they outlaw guns in the U.S. and turn that into a manhole cover, it's sure gonna make me sad. Don't fret, though, you can always call 9-1-1 if an armed criminal breaks in.

Not only did you get an amazing revolver, you got one of the rare examples (and proof to show it) that, at one point, yes, Chicago did have handguns to sell. Photocopy that and send it to the latest anti-gun politician, see what happens  .

Though, there's an obvious defect in the workmanship--I can't tell you exactly what it is from the picture. Send said specimin to me, and for $75, I will thoroughly examine the revolver, and eventually tell you what was wrong. :D Wouldn't want you to have a less-than-perfect specimin on your hands.:D

Hubba Hubba!

February 16, 2007, 08:03 AM
Did they really have red insert sights in 1954?

February 16, 2007, 08:06 AM
People on here criticize folks for having "Safe Queens" alot. I thank them as it puts such wonderful looking guns in the used case at the gun store. That is a beautiful piece you have there.

February 16, 2007, 11:01 PM
Congrats! :D That's one sweet looking S&W. Enjoy it.

February 16, 2007, 11:49 PM
That gun doesn't look so good on your belt. I am willing to take it off your hands... seriously. Glad to help...
