I am having a difficult time deciding between the beretta 391 Urika 26" or Benelli Montefeltro 26" They seem to be in a dead heat. Any Suggestions?

Both are excellent guns so you won't go wrong with either.

What is your intended use for this gun? If you are going to use it primarily for clay target shooting with hunting as a secondary activity then get the Beretta. Soft shooting, works with a wider range of shells and very reliable. The downside is that it is a more complicated gas-operated design which is somewhat more difficult to clean.

If you are going to use this gun primarily for hunting then the Benelli is a slightly better choice. The recoil action means it won't be as soft shooting as the Beretta and it won't accomodate light target loads as well. The Benelli is a lighter gun and a very simply and easy to maintain design.

I have a Beretta 391 because I shoot more targets than game however if the situation were reversed I'd have the Benelli.

I have both, except with longer barrels (28" on the Montefeltro, 30" on the 391). As PJR stated, I'd take the Montefeltro if my primary goal is hunting; however, the 391 would get the nod for clay targets.

Both are quality guns which have performed very well for me.

This is strictly and upland bird and turkey gun. Thanks for the insight
