i was just in hoffmans again yesterday and noticed they increased the discounts across the board to 15% on guns, 30% on optics, knives, safes , reloading and 40% on holsters gun cases and cleaning equipment.
snagged me a whole messa 200 yd targets this time around
:D
the stuff is gettin picked over though...and still not necessarily a good deal
i wonder what this says for those of us who bought stuff 3 days ago at the lesser discounts:fire:
i asked but was met with a blank stare kinda look...

E+B, salem, ct = prices seem high, but not overly, the owner can be a handful but his heart's in the right place. similar to the soup nazi, they have a range $15.95 an hour and don't break the rules or "NO SHOOT FOR YOU!!" lots of kimbers
cubetas, middletown=only been there once, prices seemed way high
hoffmans, rocky hill?= probably the cheapest around, large selection, the guys seem a little uh,,,well, not outgoing?
A+B, vernon= small, pricey, good selection of old rifles though, some collection theyre selling off, if i remember correctly.
newington gun exchange= medium sized selection, higher priced than hoffmans.
steve's guns, vernon-limited selection, higher prices, no plastic money allowed, eclectic collection of old firearms and ammo. parts, that kind of stuff.
thats all i can think of right now...
theres one on rt 66 in columbia but i havent been to that one. hmmm...
:D
Forest & Field in Norwalk has a nice indoor range. They have both 50ft and 75ft lanes. They are also a firearms dealer with a good selection of rifles and handguns. The prices are close to Hoffman's in Newington, maybe a little higher.
Hoffman's has a great selection and decent prices. Right now they are getting ready to move so there is not much in stock. They should be in the new location in Newington (just down the road) the first week in June.
K5 Arms in Stratford has good prices and a decent selection also. A good place to go if you are looking for an AR15.

I like CT Gun Exchange in Monroe - under new ownership as of about a year ago, and they've been great to deal with so far. Prices a touch higher than in the Newington area, but not enough to make the drive worth it for those of us who live further South. Good service also makes up for it.

I was there last weekend, I didn't see any holsters (specifically) for a CZ (I have a 75B) though there were some generic full size auto ones that would do.
I picked up some reloading supplies for a decent price though!
They were REALY picked over and not much variety left.
For good ranges, I shoot at a private range in Granby (Hartford Gun Club). It is very nice and not cheap for annual dues ($489.00/year). They have outdoor skeet/trap/sporting clays, indoor pistol/.22lr range, outdoor pistol (25yd) and 200yd rifle ranges with some steel target for the pistol/rifle ranges.
