Looking for a good 45 Cal Side Lock for shooting squirrels and do some deer hunting. Any suggestions? Long arm will be my first choice!

Any of the Thompsons are a good choice. Traditions also makes some affordable models in .45 and they're good shooting guns. If you're looking to spend a little more, check out Pedersoli's offerings. You might browse the guns at dixiegunworks.com and see if anything appeals to you.

I know what I would get. (And will soon)

Cabelas has them on sale now too! Good prices. I've been wanting a .32 for a while. I might hafta get one too. They're made by Pedersoli and are known to be very good shooters.

I have the Pedersoli Pennsylvania (flintlock) which I believe is very similar to the Blue Ridge.
It is a great shooter and very accurate
