what are good slugs and chokes for use in a 16 gauge express?

Open chokes like IC will probably give you the best results. but nothing's certain.

All slugs are effective, shoot groups to find the most accurate and go from there...

Somehow, every shotgun that follows me home, except for double barrels, has smooth bores and modified chokes. It isn't by design, but the way the deals fall. I find that the modified works well for me, of course, I may do better with other chokes if I had the option.
From my modified choke shotguns, I get pretty decent accuracy. I can't light a match at 25 yards, but I'm confident that I could scare one to death.
