Patriot Act 3, here we go.

I wonder how much taxes it requires for the United States to become a police state.... and if "the most productive worker in the world, the US worker" would just happen to be less productive.

Yes, bambam.. how about we wish harm on people who we have never met (well YOU have probably never met) , who have never done anything directly to harm us.

Let me clarify:
If this HAD TO HAPPEN, why couldn't it have been at Berkely?

Connecticut law enforcement confirmed the source of the blast was an explosive device, a Homeland Security (search) official told Fox News. There was not yet any indications of a link to international terrorism, the official said. Why was it a Homeland Security official talking, and not a police officer?

Do they not think that American adults can do this too? It seems they are missing a bit here.

My gut reaction is this was planted by a very disgruntled student who set the timer to go off when there was a class in session taught by a prof he or she hated, but it didn't work right.

We'll see if I'm full of crap or not.

Cosmo, that's a pretty plausible theory.

Considering the location, that's probably a more likely scenario than domestic terrorism at this point. The news here only touched on it lightly, and there haven't been any updates since.

Remember on TFL when the "Beltway snipers" were doing their alleged thing(s) in DC?

It was a mad dog(s) then, it is a mad dog(s) now.

When they catch the punk... Richard Gere will no doubt be on TV saying how he's just misunderstood.. and Rosie will blame the lack of gun control and violent video games, even though no guns were involved :banghead:

Punks like this need to get 15 years in the electric chair!

I live just in the next town and I work with people who were close to the area at the time of the blast. I got a bunch of phone calls making sure that I was okay since I work extrememly close with Yale mail. I was at a different building then I normally would have been and i found out all my fellow coworkers were present and acccounted for at the end of the day.

I can't wait to find out what the real news is. Like how much more CT is going to tighten laws over this in the name of protection.

The law school is holding final exams through Friday, and officials said tests were given in the building earlier Wednesday.

I'm going to go out on a limb and call that a "clue".

I'd be looking for someone named "Skip" who didn't study for finals as opposed to someone named "Achmed" who did study a bunch of transcripts of old Khomeini speeches.
