I bought a 560rd case of .308 China Sports (Norinco) ammo at a gun show this weekend and I believe its bi-metal (doesn't say so but magnets attract it). Does anyone really know if bi-metal or steel blended bullets really wear bores faster? I've got a .5moa non-chromed police tactical rifle in .308 and I don't want to mess up the bore. I can always just save this for when I get a Saiga or something.

steel jacket ammo is made with very mild steel, softer than rifle barrels and probably not much harder than copper jackets, so you'll be ok.

Just know that many ranges don't want you shooting it.
