For concealed carry in hot, humid summer weather, which one is better?

Thanks

The one that you can shoot the best. Concealed carry firearms are not meant to be comfortable to carry but are meant to be comforting if the time comes where you need one. That said I own polymer baby eagles in both .9mm and .40 as well as several models of the Kahr pistols in those calibers. I find that with the right holster they are all comfortable for me to carry and I practise enough that I can hit where I aim with both types of pistols. The advaqntage of the Kahrs over the baby eagles is the lousy location of the baby eagle's safety on the slide. This can take siome getting use to. Take the time to practice both shooting and drawing your firearm and you will not only gain confidence with it but it will become like an extension of your arm.

hmmm, denvas, sounds like you are quoting Clint Smith...
I would add that the bigger the bullet the better - compact 45 better than 40 better than 9mm
I like my Kahr fine, but I bought it for my wife CCW and she doesn't like to shoot it,
she prefers my Glock m30

They're both good weapons, but it seems to me that it might be easier to hit a target rapidly under stress with a single action (at least after the first shot) handgun like the Baby Eagle.

Given that, I'd say go with the Eagle.

There is no better gun for a CCW between the two. Your question is very personal and subjective...IMO, we cant give you a definative answer.....

Both are great guns....the Kahr is thinner and probably (usual production) a higher quality firearm the the Bull made Witness.

Both are the usual CCW trade off....the Witness is light for its size, its size is bigger than the Kahr but holds more rounds.

So you have a bigger gun that holds more rnds but doesnt conceal as well....or a flatter smaller gun that conceals better.

I have less experience with the Witness Poly than the Kahr..but
both run like swiss watches......

Its a matter of taste, budget and personal preference.

Shoot well

Doc,

No I am not quoting Clint, who I respect as one of the experts in the tactical application of firearms, rather let’s just say that we think alike on a lot of the same issues. I spent a number of years in law enforcement and have seen the direct results of someone not being able to properly handle their firearm because they could not properly control their placement due to unfamiliarity with their weapon or because they were recoil sensitive and tried to carry a caliber bigger than they could safely handle. After all if a .22 is the largest caliber you can handle properly a well place .22 would be better than a missed or misplace .45. Many the times are those recorded where a perp shot in the leg or arm was still able to do damage to someone trying to defend themselves with a firearm they could not control properly.

I had a Kahr P9. I thought it was a really neat package for a +P+ rated 9mm. But . . . it had many problems related to reliability. So many, that after repeated - unsuccessful - attempts to fix it, Kahr replaced it. (Good company, bad product.)

Look through the forums at TFL and GlockTalk. You'll find that while quite a few people like their polymer Kahrs, a lot of people have had problems with them, too.

As for me, I traded the replacement P9 for a Glock 26. The Glock isn't as compact as the P9, but it actually works.

Just to offer my counter opinion..

I have a Kahr P9 as well, have not had a single problem with it ever. Very reliable for me, I love it and recommend it most definitely.

BTW- I heard the talk about Kahr reliability also before I bought mine. After reading up I got the impression that this was the problem with earlier models, I decided to go for it, and glad I did. Mine has been nothing but a great gun.
