Hi, I cant figure out if I should get a 36 cal or 44 cal 1851 Navy. Which one is better for accuracy and speed.

If history has any appeal to you, the 1851 was only made in .36 caliber. I have one, and it's a great gun. If you want a .44, try the 1860 Army. They're comparable in speed of loading, accuracy, etc. The .36 uses 15 - 20 grs of black powder, while the .44 uses 25 - 30 grs. One saves you some money in lead and powder (not alot, though), the other gives you more bang. Can't go wrong with either.

If you get a Navy (good choice), go with 36. They are usually very accurate and you will avoid people making fun of you for having a non-historic chambered navy.

Thanks I think I may get a 36 cal navy then. I did not know that historically they had no 44cal. I like to have historically accurate guns.:)
