I know that you get what you pay for with optics but I'm working within someone else's Christmas budget here. Out of those ~$100 or so binocs and maybe the Nikon Actions and anything else you can think of which would you choose? Has anyone compared any of these against one another?

Someone from Field and Stream had positive things to say about the Leupold Yosemite line. Anyone else?

I'm also seeing the Steiner Military Marine for $120 at thesamplelist. Why so many returns on those?!

I can't say anything about the Yosemite line but I can say that the Leupold Wind River line is an excellent buy.
