What determines whether "EDIT" option is on someones posts or not and can it be turned on or off somewhere by me?

The forum software allows users to edit their own posts for a set amount of time -- IIRC, 3 days? -- in the discussion forums, and a somewhat more limited amount of time in the Buy/Sell/Trade forums.

When you hit the edit button, the software allows you to change the wording in the post itself. If you want to edit your title, or turn your sig line on or off, or add formatting, click the "go advanced" button to access these options.

If you need to edit your own posts after the time limit has expired, or if you want to outright delete one of your posts, contact a moderator via PM.
