Anyone know of a good outdoor range in NE GA? I'm in Bethelem, about 20 miles outside of Athens.

Couple that I know of. There's a range at Wilson Shoals Wildlife Management Area that's up I-985 a little ways. There's also a private one called Gunsite Hills near Lexington, GA. I've been to the Wilson Shoals range, it's ok. About 100yds, covered shooting area, but it's a public range so it can get crowded. Never been to Gunsite Hills but they have a website (www.gunsitehills.com) and its a 700yd range! I'd like to get out there one day, but its a long way from where I live.

If anyone else knows of one closer to Atlanta, please let us know.

It's not closer to Atlanta, but there is the Elbert County Gun Club outside of Elberton, GA. It's mainly a shotgunning place, but they have a pistol and 400 yard rifle range. Every three months they also have a 1000 match and different competitions each month for different things.
