I got an email this AM from Roscoe's daughter, Cindy, informing me of her father's passing. I just spoke to Roscoe last Friday and had hoped to see him when I return to Texas in August. I met Roscoe in Nov of 1999 at a gun show. I have been using his ammo and he had been a friend of mine ever since. Even though he still made me pay for my ammo. I had heard some great 'Roscoe stories' over the years and some of the stuff I found out and posted here had caused him some grief, so I always let him know what I found out in case he didn't want the info out. With a name like Roscoe Stoker he was destined to be an ammo manufacturer, at least for ammo to 'stoke roscoes'. Roscoe was a great guy and a whole lot of fun to hang out with and tell lies, I am going to miss him.

Jeff,
The day you told me I had became a part of Roscoe's "inner circle" was a great day for me. After all, what would a man like Roscoe Stoker need with an old recluse like me? Still, with every order, we became closer. I always called, rather than use e-mail, to place my small orders because I knew Roscoe would want to speak with me...even if he was very busy (which he was most of the time), he always took the time to stop, say hi--and speak for a while.
I'm very sorry that my first post in weeks was to express sadness regarding another fallen comrade.

Will
