I note that Harris has two types of leg adjustment for their bipods...notched leg and knurled set knobs. What are the advantages/disadvantages of each?

With the knurled set legs you can choose a specific length to the legs whereas the notched positions are preset.

I have the AR-15 Featherweight Bipod (http://www.gunaccessories.com/Bipods/index.asp) on my 10/22. It has the thumb knob things, which I love. It is also very easy to unfold. I think the knobs like I have are better, because you can loosen them and then just lift you gun to where you want it and tighten the knobs...whether it's on a 45° slope or on the flats, it's just right. Most of the time I don't do anything with it when I just want to shoot once or twice.
