Having never hunted there and only having been to TX a few times, this may be a dumb question. My dad has bought a small house just north of Tyler and will be spending the winters there from now on. Are there a lot of feral hogs in that area of the state? If so, is it generally easy to get permission to hunt them on private land? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Lots o' hogs around there, so I hear. But I don't know how much luck you'll have in cold-calling on farmers to hunt their land.
