in April 2006 I have bought new HK USP Compact 9mm, itīs my first gun. Please, could you write me, if changes shown on photos are usual after less than 800 shots, non-metallic parts donīt look very durable.

That looks like you have a cracked frame on the right pic at the bottom...

This is not the best way to make introductions, but welcome to THR anyway! :D
That said, try contacting HK for sure...I don't have my USPs close right now so I can't compare my guns to your pics...I have well over 50k through my USPs ;) and going strong

Yes, it is normal. Don't be concerned about the polymer wearing off in some spots, they are made to do that. USP's are right at the top of the list in durability.

Dunno, that sure looks like the frame is cracked near the slide stop pin. Some wear around the metal frame inserts is normal. A little bit of self cleaning in those areas is ok. A cracked frame is not. Send it back to HK and they'll replace it.

I don't believe it's a crack. It looks like the recoil guide rod has scaped away some of the plastic covering the front rail block. The guide rod moves back and forth on these somewhat and a linear mark like that could result.

what he said above.

I have the same gun in .45 and have the same wear exhibited. Don't believe that it's a problem, just normal wear and tear. I'll email HK about it in the morning to get the definitive answer.

Thanks to all. Lubo

I compared my USPc9 to your pics and noticed similar but far less wear on my gun, and I've got twice the round number through mine. Led me to wonder what ammo you are using. If you use high pressure ammo you'll see more wear, sooner.

It is not a crack and is completely normal wear, it's just the polymer coming off the metal in that area. Every USP I've owned or examined had the wear.

I' m using normal Magtech FMJ 9mm.
Wearing is not symmetrical, much more on right side of frame.

I have more wear than you do, that's because I shot more from these USP45 and USP9.
