Is there a way to select or deselect the individual forums that are displayed?
The question applies to both the index page and the "new posts" page.

Sorry, but I don't really understand the question.

Main page (Home)

If you go to the far right of a Forum heading such as "Social Situations" you will see a blue button with an arrow.

Click that button and all sub-forums under that heading will "hide". Click it again, and all will "unfold" again.

Each section header has one of these blue buttons:

Social Situations
Tools and Technologies
Venues
Gear and Ammunition
Site Maintenance
Trading Post
Currently Active Users
THR Statistics
Today's Birthdays

Sorry, but I don't really understand the question.

An example may help us both:


When I move the mouse to the menu bar and click on "new posts",
The next page is a table of threads with forums listed on the far right.


I'm looking for a control that would hide the threads from forums I don't often visit. The idea is to make message surfing more efficient.

Unfortunately it hides more than I want; I'd like to be more selective. e.g. Always see "General Gun Discussions" but only occasionally peek at "Legal and Political".

As I give it more consideration, the "new posts" display is really what I like to use a selective hide function on. That way only new posts on favorite sub-forums would be displayed. I was hoping to find a forum preference setting in the user profile.
