Ruger P89 with a lanyard???

I am looking at purchasing a used P89, blued finish with a lanyard attached to the grip. The current owner says it is a couple of years old. When did Ruger produce guns with the lanyard? I already have a P89 that I purchased new about 2 years ago that did not have the lanyard.

I don't the exact dates, but I know they were made with lanyard loops on the grip in the early 1990's.

I purchased my P90 directly from Ruger (LEO private purchase) in 1993-94. One of the options I checked was lanyard loop. They also offered it for the other auto loaders they sold. Never used it but figured if I ever needed it it would already be there.

I'm carrying a P91 that has a factory lanyard right now. I believe the P91 was only made from 91-94. Holp that helps
