They actually changed it!!!

However read their description of the Glock 19.

[GLOCK 19

The all-round talent

The GLOCK 19 is ideal for versatile use
through reduced dimensions compared with
the standard pistol size. With the proven caliber
of 9x19, it has found worldwide distribution in

security services. In addition to being used as a

conventional service weapon, it is suitable for concealed carry or as a backup weapon. For instance, many of the elite pilots

of the USAF for instance trust the GLOCK 19 for their efficient defense in emergency situations.

from www.glock.com

just click under pistols and then on Glock 19.

Glock NEVER updates it's site. They didn't mention the .45 GAP for years after it came out.

I've never heard of the Glock 19 being available to USAF personnel for duty use. I'll check into it though.

They have been using that blurb for the 19 for the past few years (at least) in their catalog, along with a pic of what looks to be an F-15. A few years back the FBI made them put stickers over the FBI logo that Glock had appropriated to use on the page with either the G22 or G23 in the same catalog. The G-20 has a picture of an African lion on its page.

During Desert Storm, there were a group of F16 National Guard pilots that had a choice of carrying an issued and worn out .38 revolver or nothing (the .38's were all the guard unit had on hand for pilot issue). The pilots got together and chose to each personally purchase Glock 19's. They were included in each pilots kit with the approval of their Guard Commander, and were carried by the pilots during their duty in Iraq. They generally used a shoulder holster set up.

I have to admit to being gnawed by the Glock "bug" a long while ago...and I'm not mad at them, but...Their website has always been chintzy. I spoil my Glocks and am not above paying large for parts I want, (like $103 for a "Lighting Strike trigger), but I swear Glock would charge for looking at their site if they thought they could. They surely believe their own publicity.

The "pistol sets," as picture on the website, are what you get when you buy a Glock. They were packaged like that before the XD was marketed.

At least they are trying to change with the times.

Now lets see when they fill in more models under the "slimline" header.

And, we'd like to see the much anticipated Glock Carbine.

I wonder if it is a coincidence that they update their site just before a new model(s) of guns are to be announced??????:D

I have long felt that the S&W 99, the Xd series and even Walther's S&W are reminiscent of the old Russian habit of reverse engineering. They decided that Glock was a good idea and copied it.
Also, GunNut; It isn't a true Glock factory unit but Lone Wolf now sells 16" barrels and shoulder stocks for Glocks.

Holy moly, it looks like a real, professional website. Not something cobbled together by a blind cadaver like the last site.
