Greetings all. A fellow I know is selling an Eddystone Enfield. I haven't seen it yet, but it is supposed to be in really good condition with a great bore. What is the current price range for these rifles in non-sporterized condition? Anything in particular to look for other than general condition? Thanks in advance for any information.

$375-$550 for a decent Eddystone with all matching parts (stamped 'E'). Check for the standard proof marks and that the bolt, etc. are Eddystone. Most Eddystones are actually mix-masters with Rem or Winchester bolts and other parts. That's not a terrible thing, but it does reduce their value somewhat.

Just for clarification: Are we talking about the British .303 version, or the US .30-06 M1917?

It's the 30/06. I look forward to checking it out. Can anyone recommend any good websites with markings, codes, general information, etc? Thanks for the replies so far.

Nice rifles. I really like mine (a Remington).

They are getting hard to find in non-sporterized condition.
