.22 Suppressor from John's Guns (TX): anyone have?

Still pondering my big buy: maybe an integrally suppressed Ruger MkII.

90% of the people giving advice say "get a detachable can", and the other 10% say that integral is far better, if you don't mind only using it on one gun.

The MkII is the only gun I have that I'm interested in suppressing, and I've read up on about a dozen options. John's Guns of Coleman, TX is sounding really good. He'll convert my stainless MkII for $550. Most importantly, his suppressor breaks down for cleaning. Saw some great pics of a gunked-up .22 suppressor, those suckers pick up a ton of crud, so glad that his is pretty workable.

Other good thing: he's only about 90 minutes from Austin, and he said I can make an appointment to come up and try one out before buying.

Before I make the trip, anyone have any solid advice on this possible purchase? Anyone have any items from John's Guns, opinions?

If I do go through on this, good grips and a good holster will be mando, no sense in going halfway on my main project. I'm thinking ebony grips, maybe partial checkering. No idea on what holster, but thinking a belt-slide type, rather than try and accomodate 8" of extra-bull barrel hanging down.

Thanks for any input on John's Guns, compatible accessories, or general advice on suppressor shopping.

(PS: I've been told that asking the APD chief is pointless, and that I should go directly to the Travis County Sherrif for signoff, any tips? Wear a suit, get a haircut?)
