An ad in the Gun List offers a Benelli Model B82 semiautomatic pistol, chambered for 9mm Ultra. Excellen 95% condition for $195.00.

Now, that's cheap, telling me there isn't a whole lot of demand for this pistol. They offer ammunition at $10.00/50, which isn't bad, but I'm guessing it's a limited supply. And, I've never heard of 9mm Ultra, so I suppose one had best be a reloader if one wants this pistol.

Still, I'd never heard of this pistol. When were they made? What are the ballistics of the 9mm Ultra round?

The same ad runs in Shotgun News.
There was a review of a similar Benelli in an old Gun Digest that I have around the house somewhere.
That one didn't make much of a splash either although the editor liked it.

I've seen them chambered in standard 9mm parabellum. I've only ever seen 2 of them and unfortuneatly both times were when I didn't have any $. They were in the $500 range if I rememeber. They seemed well built and were very comfortable.
Do a few searches and see what you come up with.
