But if we ban all guns and gun sales this wouldn't happen. The criminals would have no place to get guns, blah, blah, blah.....

This story is a fake.

After all, the police protect us all, and PREVENT crime.

Therefore, this couldn't have happened, and, obviously, you should take your weapons collection down to the local PD to be turned in for destruction.

Investigators will enter the numbers into the national police database. Police anywhere in the country will be able to identify one of the stolen guns.

Just one?

At the shop where I used to work (before I started there), someone drove a pickup through the front of the store and made off with over a dozen guns.

By the time I started working there, 8-inch concrete-filled bollards had been installed in front of the shop.

About 12 years ago a gunsmith friend of mine was working late
in a large gunshop when a similar smash and grab occured.

He stepped out of the office with a 12 gauge pump loaded with 00
buck and was met with gunfire from a couple guys who had
driven through the front of the shop in a stolen pickup.

Before the crooks could grab anything he emptied the shotgun at them from a range of about 30 feet.

Although the shotgun blasts tore up the truck and shattered the windows neither of the bad guys were hurt and they managed to escape.

The perforated truck was found later but neither of the cretins were captured.

My friend who is now a kimber dealer lamented that he hadn't grabbed the FN-FAL instead of the shotgun.

He had about six loaded weapons at the time of the break in.

What kills me about that story is the part they left out. That store is DIRECTLY ACROSS THE STREET FROM SLED HEADQUARTERS!! (SLED = State Law Enforcement Division)

I wonder why they didn't mention that in the article?
