So, have you bought brass on line? Any horror stories...any gold mines?

I bought some 45 ACP brass on ebay listed as over 90% once fired that was garbage, the guy threw in another 50% more of decent brass so I came out even. The crap I got in the original shipment was less than 10% once fired. I paid a little under $40 for 1500 45 brass that is probably 40-50% once fired, and the rest just range brass, some used heavily. I would not do it again, not unless it was a darn good price. If you want 45 acp brass be careful, the stuff can be 80 years old literally.
I did the darn good price buy here recently on some 38 special brass on ebay, I got over 1300 for $15, and it is ALL cleaned and polished once fired brass. This stuff is pristine.
Shipping hurts because it is so heavy, so keep that in mind too.

I bought a truckload of 9mm on the www. It has all come as advertised. The only problem I have ever had is sometimes the quality control is a little off. In other words a small amount of 380 or makarov brass might show up...

I refuse to buy stuff that is oncefired unless I know where it comes from. I also use Brassmanbrass.com. They are really cheap.

I buy some of my 10mm brass online, since it's so hard to come by anywhere other than buying new. I received 500 "once-fired" and found 5-8 cases that were split open, but the seller made good and sent me another 150 good cases free of charge.

eBay is pretty much THE place I get brass. The best guy to get it from is 46silverfox. I stick to same-headstamp lots.
I did get a crappy lot of R-P .357 brass from one guy, about 1 in 25 had pierced primers, a bunch more had primer pockets that were too loose hold a new one. I really doubt they were "once-fired". I also got some ELD (Eldorado?) 9mm nickel cases that had quite a few corroded cases. No big deal, they were cheap, I just tossed the bad ones, loaded the rest and didn't bother picking them up.

Bought brass off of THR and TFL a few times. All good experiences.
