Need help with a Mossberg 600

I just bought a Mossberg 600. It appears to be identical to a 500. It has a 30" vr fixed choke barrel. I switched the barrel with a 500 at the store and it seemed to fit the same and it locked up tight. Anyway, some questions:

1) Was $149 out the door a decent price?

2) Does this gun really accept all 500 barrels? (I want to get a 18.5" w/ rifle sights)

3) Anything else I should know?

The Model 600 is the New Haven (store brand) version of the Mossberg 500 and is the same gun .

Yes, all standard magazine compatable barrels will fit. All that applies to the Mossberg 500 will be the same as your New Haven 600 .

$149 is just fine. Depending on your location that price is about middle of the road for a used Mossberg 500.
