How does this stuff work. thinking about using it in a backup weapon is it worth the cost. it would be used in a 6in .357 colt python. or maybe for a primary shot if chance presented itself. Or is remington core lock ammo better. thanks for the help.

It is simply federals low end bullet with a bonded core for higher weight retention. It should work just fine for a hunting round, just dont use it in the house.

I just shot the remington corelokt, and it shot well out of my 357. It delivers more muzzle energy also. The remington load is basically the same bullt as their hd load the golden sabre. Good choices would be Rem Corlokt, Winchester Partition Gold, or Federals Castcore. All will work on deer, just shoot them and see which one your gun likes.

I bought two boxes earlier this month and had a miss-fire at the range on the fifth shot out of the box. That is the first time I have ever had a primer that was a dud. I threw both boxes away and will not be buying more.
