NH to Ma gun Transfer Can I use a FA-10?

I sold a Kel Tec 9mm to a friend about 2 years ago when I lived in NH, He's looking to sell back to me for short $$. Can I do a private sale and use a FA-10 form?Even though gun is not on the MA gun list.. And could I carry a gun registered to someone else that is not Ma compliant??? can Anybody help me out here..:banghead:

(This is only my opinion.)

I think you may be out of luck as I do not believe that you can transfer a non-compliant firearm into Massachusetts with the intention of purchasing it in a private transaction.

I am also under the belief that a non-compliant firearm could enter into Massachusetts legally via a FFL Dealer and s/he would not sell it to a Massachusetts permit holder unless they were also a FFL holder. The FFL Dealer could purchase the firearm for a sale to another dealer or to someone in another state.

I'm sure that if you check back... someone with more knowledge of the firearm laws will respond to your message.

Private sales of handguns across state lines is against Federal law!

Sorry, but you are out of luck getting that pistol. You could look for one in MA, but it will cost you. :banghead:
