I see some advertised as being made in Italy and some in the USA, is one better than the other?
Thanks

Some people think that the Italian made guns are slightly better in terms of fit and finish.
I've never worried enough about it to even be able to tell you where my Berettas were made.

You can add Turkey to the list as the new Cougars are made there... I was trying one out a while back... I think my S&W was jealous :neener:

I prefer the Italian models more but the USA made ones have gotten alot nicer over the years - I guess the more you do something, the better you get at doing it. At this point, it may be a wash

There always seems to be a prejudice against anything made here vs over there. The Walthers, Glocks, and Berettas made in the US seem to be just as good as those from over there. Remember Beretta opened the Maryland plant to make the 22s and 25s that couldn't be imported but okay to make here (never could undertsand the logic of that). Their expansion was due to adoption of the M9.

I have owned my Beretta .25 for about a month and I have managed to put about 200 rounds through it and it does great. That being said the .25 is not the best for anything other than target shooting. Due to reports of bullets from a .25 bouncing of clothing and skulls, I have chose to carry my Tangfolio .380 Auto for defense. Back to the original question. Italian handguns are pretty nice but my beretta is a nice gun. Fires well and will shoot cheap ammo if your just shooting for fun. Mine is made in the USA just like me and i dont have a problem with that. I sincerely doubt if your could tell while firing them which is made in the USA and which is made in Italy. Depends on what you want. The italian made models are nicer in finish and fit but the USA Models Tend to be cheaper.

Berettas kick butt no matter where they are made.

Beretta opened the Accokeek plant because the military contract requires that the pistols be produced domestically.
