Cripes, this is getting ridiculous. I am so hooked on the 1911 bug it is like crack to me.:what: I picked this up today after looking at it 2 days ago and I was still thinking about it today so it's mine. It is super light too!

Great choice!
Whenever I get around to buying a 1911 the S&W 1911PD is first on my list.

Right now I have 3 1911's, with my Dan Wesson being worked on. I am completely hooked on the 1911 and I think my next one will be either a Colt Commander. The place I go to in Maine has a pretty good selection of Colts. Most of the ones I have looked at are about 90-98%. I am looking forward to shooting the 1911PD.

Most accurate handgun I own. Better than my Kimber.

I admit mines not the PD, but I love it just the same. Was my first centerfire, pistol. Always wanted a 1911, so much history. I took me a couple weeks of just staring at it to get over the fact that I owned it..:D

I paid $700 for it and honestly it looks like it has never even been shot. There is still light grease on the mags and some lubricant on the left and right slide area from front to back. One thing for sure, it is one TIGHT 1911. It is tighter than my Dan Wesson.

I have fired both the Kimber and S&W. The S&W 1911PD shoots a much tighter group. I use my 1911PD as my every day conceal carry and would not trust my life to any other gun!
This is a much lighter piece of weapon than your traditional steal frame. It's accurate and very comfortable to carry.
I use to carry the Glock 36 and the Kimber 1911. The S&W 1911PD is a superior weapon in my opinion.
