Mossberg 500 and Knoxx Pistol Grips, HELP!

I installed the Spec Ops Stock on my new Moss500, and I have found it almost impossible to rack the slide. This seems to be from the Knoxx recoil system making the rack release further away from your thumb. Any suggestions or help? I don't want to send it back...
Thanks,
Captredbeard

I have one on my 590A1, no problems whatsoever. The stock shouldn't interfere with the action at all.
Did you recently install a sidesaddle?

I have tha same problem. I just think my hands are to small. When I get up the courage I'm going to take my rotary tool and carve out a channel / thumb groove near the action to make it easier to reach..

Well i'm a fairly big guy with 'normal' sized hands, and still have quite a problem. I posed this question to Knoxx and they said to dremmel out a bit of the plastic to make it easier to reach. I don't think that would help me much though, as it being so far away from my thumb that I can't just reach up and get to it with it in the shooting position.
Thanks for any replies

Are you talking about the action release tab on the left side right above the trigger? I have the same problem with my Knoxx stock. I have pretty good sized hands. Not beefy but long fingers. My plan is to order another action release bar and maybe drill and tap it for a small bolt. I think having the lever wider in terms of going out from the weapon would make it easier to engage.
Does that make sense??

I dun get it.
Mine does this, too, but if I move my trigger hand a little I can get the thing. It forces me to take my finger off the trigger, which may or may not be a good thing.
However, in the course of normal shooting I never have to mess with the pump release. If the hammer's already fallen the forearm is unlocked... If I need to clear the chamber when I'm done shooting I have no problem with taking my finger off the trigger to do it.
But it was sort of annoying until I decided it wasn't that big of a deal.

Yes GudoldBoy that is correct. Sorry I'm a newb.
I guess for HD purposes I was hoping to leave the chamber empty and then rack it if needed.
If I was always leaving it with a round in the chamber, I guess it would not bother me as much.
If there is another option please let me know,
Thanks guys,

Captredbeard, When I get around to trying out my idea I will let you know how it works out.

I keep my 590 locked, empty chamber, safety on at the side of my bed also, and have trained my wife how to unlock, rack, and un-safety it.
I always return the shotgun to the safe in the morning, but I prefer to keep it as stated above in case one of my kids gets curious or I forget to lock it up one day. Judging by the trouble my wife still has in unlocking/racking/turning the safety off, it's reasonably safe from inquisitive hands.:D
