I thought I had it all worked out. Checked the catalog and made the proper measurements...

I wanted to put my new 4x33mm Leupold on my .270 FN Mauser in Talley bases and QD rings. It seems I came up short. I have to crane my neck forward- most uncomfortable. The front ring is a hair off the start of the objective bell. LOP is 13 1/2"

My Springfield Express rifle in .30-06 was wearing a 2.5x20mm Bushnell in Conetrol 2pc. bases until the reticle cube failed- the 4x Leupold won't work on that one either- it remains scopeless...

My upcoming project, an English style Pre 64 in .30-06 is also supposed to have Talley QDs and I wanted to put the 2.5-8x36 Leupold on that one or perhaps the 1.75-6x32E Leupold- Is it gonna work?

Are any of you putting Leupold scopes in 2 piece mounts on long action rifles? How do you work your sighting solutions out???

Try offset rings, they might just get you the position that you need.
