He said he slowed down as the buck and two does ran across the driveway Nov. 22, but the buck ran under the truck and got hit.

I assume, from his description, that the deer was an incomplete twinning. IOW, "he" was really a "they", a male and female set of twins that incompletely separated.

Pretty rare, but it does happen. And "they" ought to be perfectly edible...the meat would be the same, no matter. Although our processor refuses to process bloodshot deer from an accident. Throws it away with no notice to the person who brought it in, IIRC.
