I keep buying older Marlins with a squirrel engraved/pressed on the stock. I hear rumors that there are also variants that have an engraved wolf on the stock?

Is this so? Any pics? What variants, year-range has such engravings?

I'm a huge, huge fan of the Marlin 75C, which I feel to be the single best .22 auto rifle on the market, and two of my three have the squirrel. I'd rather have the wolf, for obvious reasons.

yep, those are the glenfield models, they have the squirrel, the wolf, the bunny, and the acorn, i do believe. Your mission, to collect them all.
