What kind of deal can I expect if I trade a Sig 239 99% for a Sig 226 CPO?

You almost always get screwed with a trade at a dealer. If its a private trade, who knows, if both parties are happy.
I have a P239 and a P226, both in 357SIG. I'd keep the P239 and save for the 226. They go nicely together. :)

The 239 is a nice pistol but I think I would rather have a 226. I would like to have both but thats not in the cards right now.
How much more should I have to pay to get the 226?

I paid $750 for my last 226, NIB w/night sights. I've seen them as high as $800. I think the last NIB 239 I saw was around $750, and it too had night sights. I bought my 239 used, in 99% shape, w/ night sights for $500.
If your going to get rid of the 239, I'd suggest you try and sell it outright, or on consignment before you trade.(assuming a dealer trade) You will almost always do better selling it than trading it. Dealers usually give you about half of what you paid or its worth. They want to realize a profit too, and usually put it back up for sale at what your hoping to get for it.

I realize that I won't get what I would if I were to sell it out right but it's hard to sell a pistol around here. I don't know anyone that wants it and long guns sell better than pistols in the paper. Going through a dealer is the only real option I have. Of course the dealer has to make a little money to stay in business.

Bravo, if it's a 9mm 239, I might be interested. Check your PMs.
