+P question in new gun?

I just picked up a new Springfield Bi-tone Loaded lightwieght 1911-a1 and was looking for a good 230 jhp for carry. I found at my local gun store 230+p Winchester Rangers (Rangers are what I carry in my G19 and absolutely love them) but don't want to beat the bejesus out of my gun. The paper work does not mention shooting +P's as being bad as most companies do nowadays. Would a few boxes of that a year hurt it too much or am worrying too much?

For your information...Springfield says "their gunsmiths do not reccomend any +p ammunition for their lightweight handguns". Never mind the above question
