I'm thinking this project is more trouble than its worth, but DJ's Loan and Sport (my absolute favorite WA gunshop, and possibly gunshop in general) has a Remington dbl-barrel shotgun, 16ga, for $95.

Stock has a hairline crack, splinter forend is loose, barrel is cut to 18.5", barrel release lever doesn't spring back under its own power, and barrel is clearly Damascus.

Is this purely a wall-hanger? It looks massively cool, but I don't know what I would do for it except for decor, since I'm not sure if it's wise to shoot even low-pressure 16ga through it, much less tighten up the wood and replace the release spring.

This shop rocks, S&W 10s under $200, S&W 19s under $250, tons of cheap 870s, and all kinds of older oddities I'd never seen (Marlin 1893 .22, Rem helical-mag pump .35Rem for $250, etc.)

I should just walk away from this one, just enjoy my beater NEF, right?

I'd pass on it, Matt. Sounds more like trouble than a bargain.

My wife's spent more than $95 for an ugly lamp - maybe you could wire the thing with lights;)

I sure wouldn't try to shoot it, but if you have the disposable income, there are probably worse ways to spend $95 for decoration.
